Helping Your Teen Navigate Life

Parenting a teenager isn’t easy. You want the best for your child—you want them to feel confident, capable, and happy. But lately, you’ve noticed your teen is struggling. Maybe they seem more anxious, withdrawn, or irritable. Maybe they’re pulling away from you, shutting down when you try to connect, or their grades and motivation are slipping. Perhaps you’re worried about depression, self-esteem, friendships, or the impact of social media.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. We’re here to support both you and your teen.

Why Teens Struggle

Adolescence is a critical stage of development. Your child is figuring out who they are, how to manage emotions, and how to cope with pressures from school, peers, and the world around them. This is also when mental health challenges often first show up. Without support, these struggles can feel overwhelming—for your teen and for you as a parent.

We understand how painful it is to see your child hurting and not know how to help. That’s where therapy comes in. Together, we can give your teen tools to manage emotions, strengthen resilience, and build healthier relationships.

How We Help

When your teen comes to therapy with us, they’ll find a safe, judgment-free space where they can open up and be themselves. We help adolescents:

  • Reduce anxiety and depression by learning coping strategies that actually work

  • Improve communication so they can talk about what’s going on instead of shutting down

  • Build self-esteem and a stronger sense of identity

  • Navigate friendships and social pressures in healthier ways

  • Work through trauma or painful experiences with compassion and care

  • Strengthen family relationships so home feels more connected and supportive

And because we know that therapy doesn’t just affect your teen—it affects the whole family—we keep you involved in the process. You’ll have space to share your perspective, learn how to support your child, and get guidance for navigating challenges at home.

What Therapy Looks Like

We offer flexible options to meet your family’s needs:

  • Individual sessions for your teen (45–50 minutes)

  • Family sessions to strengthen communication and connection

  • Ongoing parent support, so you’re never left out of the process

Every treatment plan is personalized, because no two teens are alike.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

We know how heavy it feels when your teen is struggling and you’re not sure what to do next. Reaching out for help is a powerful first step. Together, we can help your child feel more confident, more capable, and more connected—to themselves, to you, and to life.

What You Can Do Right Now

Taking the first step doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Here’s how to begin:

  2. Schedule a first appointment — We’ll find a time that works for you and your teen.

  3. Prepare together — Let your teen know this is a safe space just for them. We’ll take care of the rest.

That’s it. One small step at a time can make a big difference in your child’s future.

Your Questions Answered

How do I know if my teen needs therapy?
If you’ve noticed lasting changes in your teen’s mood, behavior, or motivation—or if your gut is telling you something isn’t right—therapy may help. Common signs include increased irritability, withdrawal from family or friends, slipping grades, loss of interest in things they used to enjoy, sleep or appetite changes, or talk of hopelessness.

Will I be involved in my teen’s therapy?
Yes. While your teen’s therapy sessions are their private space, we include parents in the process. We’ll check in regularly with you, provide guidance for supporting your child at home, and may recommend family sessions when helpful.

What if my teen doesn’t want to come?
This is very common. Teens may be nervous, unsure, or even resistant to the idea of therapy. We’re experienced in meeting them where they are, building trust, and showing them that therapy is a safe place just for them. Sometimes, just attending the first session can ease their fears.

How long will therapy take?
Every teen is different. Some begin to notice changes in a few weeks, while others benefit from longer-term support. We’ll discuss progress openly and adjust as needed to make sure therapy feels meaningful and effective.
